Imam al-Haytami in Majm`a al-Zawai’d related from Umm Salamah (r)  “I heard the Jinn wailing upon Husain bin Ali (r)” (at-Tabarani, and its narrators are authentic).

From Maymounah (r) who said, “I heard the Jinn wailing upon Husain bin Ali (r)” (at-Tabarani, and its narrators are authentic).

From Umm Salamah (r) who said,  “I never heard the Jinn wailing since the Prophet’s passing, except for one night, and I never saw a child except the passing (meaning of al-Husain bin Ali (r)).” She said to her female servant, “Go out and ask” and she was informed that he had been killed, and then she heard a female Jinn wailing upon al-Husain (r):

O the eyes! Weep as much as you can   *** and who will weep upon the martyrs after me?
On a group with whom death walks hand in hand  *** towards an arrogant in a kingdom of slaves.

From Abi’l-Mureed al-Faqeemi who said the plasterers when they went into the desert heard the Jinns reciting the following stanzas on the Shahaadat of Sayyidina l-Hussain (r):

The Prophet kissed his forehead   ***    and his cheeks shone like lightning
His parents are the noblest of the Quraysh  ***    his grandfather is the best of all grandfathers

I answered them:

A delegation set forth for him    *** and they are the worst of delegations
they killed the son of the daughter of their Prophet         *** and they abide in the Fire everlasting

From Ibn Abi Shaibah, who has related from Umm Salamah (r), the wife of Holy Prophet (s), that once al-Husain (r) came to Holy Prophet (s) when I was sitting near the door. I saw that the Holy Prophet (s) had something in his palm, which affected him, making him weep profusely. By now al-Husain (r) had fallen asleep in his lap. I asked about the matter. He replied: “Jibrail has brought the earth of the place where Husain (r) will be martyred and informed me that people of my Ummah will slay him.” [Kanz-ul-Ummaal vol. 2]

One day, Umm Fadl, wife of al-`Abbas the Prophet’s (s) uncle, approached the Prophet (s) and informed him (s), “O Prophet of Allah! I had a nightmare. I dreamt as if a piece of your flesh was flung in my arms.”

The Prophet (s) informed me, “The dream is true. Fatimah will give birth to a son and he will be brought to you.” As predicted on al-Husain’s (r) birth, he was brought in my lap. One day, I brought the infant to the Prophet (s). For some time, the Prophet (s) took his eyes away from the infant. When he (s) glanced at the infant again, his eyes welled up with tears.

I said, “May my father and mother be sacrificed on you O Prophet of Allah, why are you crying?”

He (s) informed, “I have just been informed by Jibraeel that my nation will kill him.”

I asked, “Will it be this son?” He replied in the affirmative. “Jibraeel also brought reddish sand for me.” [Al-Mustadrak `alaa al-Sahihain by Haakim Nisapuri, vol 3, pg 176]
