>The Hadith alludes to the fact that the Kafir possesses an inordinate love for >the ephemeral life and pleasures of this world, and as such, cannot satisfy >him/herself enough with ephemeral sensual pleasures.
More precisely, it means that the powers and efficacy of food which we usually call its baraka or blessing, consisting in its satiation factor, wholesomeness, economy, and other factors, is greatly diminished or not present at all in the disbeliever’s regimen, and Allah knows best.
