وروى أبوداود في سننه حدثنا محمد بن عوف ثنا المقرئ ثنا حيوة عن أبي صخر حميد بن زياد عن يزيد بن عبد الله بن قسيط عن أبي هريرة أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال ثم ما من أحد يسلم على إلا رد الله على روحي حتى أرد عليه السلام
33. Abu Hurayrah related that the Prophet of Allah (s) said: not one person greets me except that Allah returns my soul to me in order that I will return his greetings.
Imam Suyuti (r) said, The Prophets (s) soul is always there and alive, because in every moment thousands of people are sending salawaat on him, which means his soul never leaves his body and is always present. [Shaykh Hisham Kabbani]
